IF: Winter

Illustration Friday
WINTER is the word.

When I think of winter I dream of snow forts and skiing,
cozy fires, handmade knitted hats, red cheeks and beautiful quilts on every bed.
Instead we have holiday lights on cacti and car windows open all day!
It's alright, I can still dream and oh, how I wish we had snow in the desert.

Here's my version of sexy girl with big, pouty lips....haha.

I'm still teaching myself Illustrator.
I'm really digging the feel of keyboard shortcuts coming easier to me.
Last week was all about gradients,
this week is more about getting comfortable using my Wacom and the pen tool.
This is my 5th challenge.

I appreciate you stopping by,
the Illustration Friday community is so freakin fantastic.
What a sweet, constructive and creative group!
And if you're here on your own or through another link, thank you too!

Nicely done! Illustrator has been my favorite design software for many years. (My illo for this weeks theme was one I did in Illustrator four years ago.) :)

Give her some diamonds and we'll call her Lucy! Drawing young women is always a challenge, you have to say as much as possible with as little as possible...add too much ~and you start the aging process...
nice shapes.

Very nice cristals and a beautiful colour blue.

Next year you give us an impression of Christmassy decorated cacti? I am looking forward to that. ;-)
