Fluid is the word.
One definition of fluid on dictionary.com:
"changing readily; shifting; not fixed or rigid: fluid movements."
I think this fits my blended family very well.
We maintain structure and balance, that's what keeps us sane.
The rest of it though, changes constantly.
Tennis schedules, music gigs, you know, life stuff...
we're okay with the movements, we're used to the routine of change.
We are a FLUID family.
You may think this is cute...haha, "blended" family.
You may think this is gross...ewww, blended (whirrrrrr) family.
I guess it's a little of both.
There is my daughter- beautiful result of a young marriage.
Tennis whiz, voracious reader, super-smart girl.
(Her Dad is a big part of our blended family, also a very good friend.)
Myself- sometimes feeling like I'm upside down.
Juggler of all things family and managing to squeeze in some hobbies of my own,
drawing, sewing, DIYing...
My Honey- tender-hearted, talented musician and Star Wars geek.
Awesome vocabulary and knows his way around the kitchen! We're so lucky.
Our son- the dinosaur expert.
Knows at least 300 dinos and prehistoric creatures by name,
plus what they ate, where they lived and what period they lived in.
Also likes trains and reading.
Sweet like his Dad, strong-willed like his Mom.
Moosh- recently adopted.
Will protect the house and family from anything
as long as he can hide behind my legs while barking.
Silly, adorable and lots of fun.
This is definitely on my "I can do better" list but I post the good and the bad. :)

This is absolutely wonderful. Your descriptions are so apt. Where do you get your ideas? I keep saying you need to add author to your repertoire. I think you would do marvelously as a children's author.
