Suspense is the word.

Is Dumbledore really dead?
Is Snape a good guy or a bad guy?
Does Harry beat Voldemort in the end?
Will Ron finally realize he's in love with Hermoine?
The SUSPENSE is killing me!
Remember when we had to wait for another book to come out
to find out what happened?
Haha, we stood in line at midnight.
No, I wasn't dressed up like a witch or anything...but I should have!
My daughter probably would have died of embarrassment.
(She gets it now, she recently read the entire series in a little over a month)
She was also my inspiration for this one.
She's blonde with green eyes but it still resembles her.
Sort of a paint by number look.
So many layers.
Fun, fun, fun.
I think I'm going to attempt something completely hand drawn next week.
As much as I love using the Wacom,
practicing shortcuts and that darn pen tool,
I miss eraser bits and oops-I'll-have-to-figure-out-how-to-fix-that mistakes.
It'd be nice to sit outside and get away from the hummmmmm of the computer
during my designated drawing time too.
I don't know how the colors look on your screen.
My stuff always looks so different on my Honeys computer.
Hopefully it looks alright.
Happy weekend to you!

I just never got the whole Harry Potter thing (my husband doesn't get it that I don't get it...). Wish i could find a book I couldn't put down like this girl...
It does have that paint-by-numbers look, and it's a neat effect. Great job on the facial expression - she is clearly engrossed and not likely to put the book down soon!
My son just finished the series, and this drawing definitely has a very familiar feel :) Nice work! (colors look great on my monitor)
I never got into the whole Harry Potter thing but I know the basic stories. Your illustration is simple & effective, which I love. Also, thanks for the comment on my blog!
Wondefully graphic image...I like the range of shadows you accomplished in this work.
I've seen that same look on my son's face when he's been reading Harry Potter. You've captured the right expression.
I think your daughter must take after you because I can see a resemblence in your profile pic. I love HP! Dumbledore will never die because he's just in the next realm :) Paint by numbers style is fun.
Great take on "suspense"! Nice colors and composition and the epression of the reader is very precise !
It's great when the book is so exciting and full of suspense that you can't put it down. My kids also loved Harry Potter books!
Your illustration looks awesome!! And you captured the expression very well! I love the Harry Potter books, I was kinda sad when I finished the last. Can't wait to see what your next (hand drawn) illustration will look like! :)
HA! Fantastic! She's got the perfect expression, too! Nice lettering on the title, by the way. And I see she has an awesome headboard. SPEAKING of which -- whoa, you have a lot of great projects this month! Wish I was as crafty as you!
Nice illo! You've captured the moment with nice strong colors and composition!
Have you read "The Night Circus" yet? It's amazing.
Great take on "Suspense." We stood in line until Midnight for the last 4 books and read them way too quickly.
