This is the time of year (and Fall) I'm happy I live in Phoenix.
Each week I blog progress on monthly goals.
If you'd like to see how I decided on specific goals,
please start HERE.
Thrift/Refurbishing:
Refinishing my kitchen chairs.
It's been a little slow-going on the chairs.
I never know the proper time to spray paint.
I've given them a couple coats of Kilz primer with a brush
but the antique white color is in a spray can.
We have a large backyard but we're in the city,
surrounded by people on every side.

Primed. One has one coat, the other has two.
I thought Monday morning would be the best time,
as I assumed most of my neighbors would be at work.
Nope.
Two neighbors home with their windows open.
Scratch that idea.
The middle of the day (when windows are closed) is too hot.
The recommendation on the spray paint is to use under 85 degrees.
I'll figure it out....I might get a flood light and spray at 3am when everyone is asleep!
Sewing:
Making a memory blanket with favorite baby clothes for friends.

This project is going well.
Almost everything is cut out.
I've figured out how to incorporate soft shoes into a blanket
(as requested).
I'm getting more and more excited to see Jake, Lavina and the boys reactions!

Taken at night, kitchen lighting with my phone- not the best picture.
Don't worry though, I feel like I'm headed in the right direction.
Lavina, are you okay seeing this?
Running/Jogging/Walking:
and
Drawing:
I've decided to move these goals to Saturday posts.
It makes more sense to break all this up now that fitness is becoming a bigger priority.
Plus with drawing,
you'll be able to see the project I worked on the week I post about it...
duh, Angel...should have done this from the beginning!
Ooooooh, just one picture from one of my jogs this week:

My favorite place to jog by lately. Agave Century Plants in bloom.
I hope everything is going great with your goals and wherever you are,
you're enjoying April weather.
I'd love to hear about some of the things you're working on!

Again glad to see progress on all fronts. Certainly most curious on the blanket front, I'm not sure what Lavina even sent, but I did recognize what I could see. The boys are all growing up fast.
I had a set back at least on my working out. My procedure has forced me to stop, it will probably be a couple weeks until I can get started. Sigh....
Wish I could come to AZ w/Lavina & see you all. Take Care
:)
She sent a lot of good stuff!
I figured you were taking it easy. I hope all is well and you're feeling brand new soon. Heal and then get back to it...were/are you doing the CrossFit stuff?
I know, wishing we could see you too. But that's okay, I'm excited we get to see L and L! Still need to figure that out...
Oh my, I actually got teary eyed...happy years though! Wow, my babies ate growing up too fast!
I'm really looking forward to seeing the finished project.
Thanks again
Love n hugs
Oh my, I actually got teary eyed...happy tears though!
I'm really excited to see the finished project.
I'll be giving you a call once we settle into our hotel next week. Wishing the whole family was accompanying me.
Love n hugs to all...
Can't wait to see the soft shoes incorporated into the blanket. So cute! Memories ;)
Oh Lavina, I'm so glad!
I'm excited to see how big L is now.
Mom- it was a conundrum for a few days. Think I figured it out.
He's big, cuddly & handsome...well I'm his mom so I say things like this :)
Wooooo! Making great progress on that blanket. And shoes too! The chairs are coming along nicely.
Good luck on your exercise! Man, I hate jogging. But if I jogged, I think that Zombie run app might be fun.
Lavina- I've been watching him grow. It's not because you're his Mom, it's true. Such a handsome boy!
Bella- Thank you :)
I always thought I hated jogging too until I tried it...great way to "escape" all the other stuff for awhile. Plus it's fun with my dog.
Totally going to check out the Zombie app now.
