Last night Tyler got home from his gig at 10
and immediately left again to see the Hobbit movie.
Three hours of little, hairy-toed Hobbits running around solving mysteries-
or whatever they do.
I'll leave that stuff to him.
(Just in case you're interested- he said it was "pretty incredible".)
I took the opportunity to sew a Cat-in-the-Hat pillow for Sam.
Sitting on the living room floor,
using my knee on the sewing machine pedal,
drinking salted caramel chai,
while watching Gossip Girl on Netflix with Ella;
(Two hours of Louboutin clad East Siders, running around solving mysteries- or whatever.)
I managed to put together a too-small-for-the-insert, sort of cute pillow.
I hope Sam loves it.
I think maybe he will.
Gossip Girl.
Yeah, it's superficial and over the top.
But I love the clothes and I think Leighton Meester is adorable.
Plus it's fun to escape into that nonsense world once in awhile.
I used this pattern without the quilting.
I also photographed it upside down, in the dark.
Time for a nap....zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
Happy Friday, ya'll.
xoxo

Very cute! My kids get so excited about new pillows, too. I suppose something about the cushy goodness and the sweetness of knowing it was made "special" for just them :)
Happy New Year in advance!
Awww, thanks Jacci :)
He does love it, especially the fish.
And bonus- it matches his bedding.
I still need to get a smaller insert though.
Happy New Year to you too!
