Preparing for the next 19 days...
12 of them will be filled with family.
Tyler's Mom, brother and sis-in-law are coming to visit from California.
Tyler is playing a benefit concert.
We have Sam's parent teacher conference scheduled.
Ella will be performing in her high school talent show.
She's singing a Coldplay song!
And she's also doing the Color Run with me.
It doesn't seem like much when I type it all out- but there's A LOT of prep for each one.
I'm antsy to use my camera.
I managed to snap a few shots yesterday.
Testing out some of the skills I've learned from late night manual reading...
can't wait to take a class!
(Soon, Angel. Patience. Breathe.)
My focus was the Whomping Willow tree in the backyard.
The poor thing lost all but a few of it's leaves over the last 4 days
due to an "arctic chill" that blew through.
Even though I covered them, my peas and broccoli died too.
I cried a little bit.
Damn record breaking freezing temperatures.
I attempted to get decent shots of the tree throughout the day,
focusing on light and shadows.
Oh, my beautiful girl.
Thank you once again for not sighing, being patient with me and smiling for the camera.
Very similar to this shot I took for Ten on Ten.
Barely hanging on.
Yeah, our desert sky really is this clear and blue midday.
Bear with me while I work this artsy photo thing through my system.
One day I'll zoom back out, I promise.
Still hanging on at dusk...
Some of these reminded me of the quote pictures seen all over Pinterest.
I decided to make a few.
Hopefully one strikes a chord with you.
Not into Bronte?
Okay, how about Lennon?
Silly play on words.
What? It goes.
Or maybe Rodney Dangerfield is more your style.
Have a fantastic weekend.
