Koalas, Pancakes and Mardi Gras Beads

The Spoonflower Australian animals contest is over.
Not bad, not bad...out of 175 entries, mine landed at #68.

I'm happy with that.
While I like this pattern, it is a bit naive and simple.
Middle of the road feels about right.

My favorite pattern from the week took first place. Woot woot!
You can see the top ten in the Winner's Circle.

I really need to figure out my schedule.
I need to spend more time creating instead of rushing to create, you know.
That's the plan, family binder, working on it...slooooowly.
Not fun.
At all.
But it's necessary and will be worth the time spent.

The next Spoonflower contest is all about Mardi Gras.
I didn't enter but I learned some crazy shtufff.
Like, in the UK, Fat Tuesday is Shove Tuesday...or Pancake Day.
The pancakes are more like crepes, filled with lemon and custard.
Hello- yum.

Apparently, the US and South America are the boozers and carnival throwers.
The show-boobies-for-beads countries.
And I can say, in my early 20's, I earned a lot of beads.
Yup, total face palm and head shake.

This week I have two favorites. HERE and HERE.
If you'd like to vote for your Mardi Gras faves...vote here.
