2013 will bring one Sam Says and one Ella Says each month.
While talking ocean life-
Me: Can a pufferfish swim away if a shark tries to eat him?
Sam: Well, actually, yes. But in the ocean there's NO WHERE TO HIDE!
(said in a dun-dun-dun voice)
While giving Sam a piggyback around the house-
Sam: I love you Pig.
In the car, on the radio Taio Cruz is singing,
"I'm only gonna break-break your break-break your heart"-
Sam: But if my heart is gone, I won't have love.
Awwwwwww.
Every night Sam picks the books for bedtime.
Two nights ago he chose:
Ummmmm, yeah, the Super Paper Mario instruction guide.
He was totally into it.
Left, right, jump, etc....
I used to be anti-video games in our house but I've softened.
As long as the kids get lots of physical activity and creative time too.
Tyler has loved video games since he was a kid,
now he and Sam love them together.
While drawing Christmas thank you notes for family and friends,
Mario showed up quite a bit (mixed in with his dinos):
Mario and friends defeat the dragon- Mom, this one is coming your way!

Wow! That is a great picture. He is definitely a great artist and you can tell how much fun he is having, too.
It's really cool to see his imagination EXPLODE when he's drawing. His narration of each picture is hilarious!
