Tyler's brother and sis-in-law, Justin and Bronwyn, spent a few sunny days with us.
It was a quick trip, out visiting from California.
Can you say hangover?
Ugh. My gooooodnesssss.
We had a little too much fun one night.
Sam was in bed and Ella was at her Dad's house.
Seems the only time I get a hangover is when out-of-town guests visit!
Friends from Alaska or our siblings- lushes, I tell ya.
I kid, I kid...we're all normal most of the time.
Chitchatting, laughing and catching up...
into the wee hours, it's easy to keep refilling our glasses.
Even though we were all pretty miserable yesterday,
I'm so happy they were able to visit.
They've been so busy with their recent wedding and honeymoon.
Plus they just closed on a house (woohoo!)
right before they had to be on a plane to come here.
It was fantastic to hear all the details and see their excitement.
And Sam...oh, he was super happy to see Uncle Justin and Aunt B.
While Ella and I stayed home (she had to be at tennis and I worked on patterns),
everyone else went to the Natural History Museum.
Literally, for weeks, Sam talked about taking Uncle Justin to see the dinosaur skeletons.
I ordered a few free admission tickets from *Recyclebank just for their visit.
So far, I've saved $243. on museum tickets through them.
Tyler and I also had a nice break from cooking and cleaning.
Bronwyn made us dinner AND did the dishes one night.
Chili lemon chicken with black beans and spicy rice, plus a fresh veggie salad- yum.
Wow, it felt strange and amazing to see someone else doing the work.
Thanks B!
They left today but we still have a whole lot going on the rest of the week.
None of it involves alcohol- whew.
