Sure,
most people set their goals on January first and put them immediately into action
...or try to.
But taking our time,
setting our goals as a family,
getting everything together (together) is working out well.
Our categories are: Family, Friends, Career, Health, Home and Hobbies.
In {Part One} I wrote about a crazy home binder idea.
It's a pain.
Ughhh, so much work.
But we're doing it.
It's getting filled out and used!
We have our weekly schedule almost nailed down,
just a few loose boards that need some more hammering.
Our chores- we know what to do and when.
Auto maintenance is logged.
Family Anniversaries, Birthdays and addresses are ALL IN ONE PLACE.
Homework and meals have their designated times.
So does exercise.
Free time- to play, read, go outside, pick your nose...whatever, it's on there.
We're all supposed to take turns walking the dog too- scheduled.
Yes Mu, I said the W word.
Oh, and get this,
We now do meal planning as a family during dinner on Saturday.
Everyone gets to pick what we'll be eating for the next week.
SO MUCH EASIER!
Even easier for me...Tyler volunteered to make dinner 3-4 nights a week.
I practically threw my invisible apron at him.
Here, take it, YES!
I made that batch of hummus.
I've yet to take any good shots of Tyler rushing around the kitchen,
sweating over the stove.
He's been making some yummy food.
There have been a couple ummmmm, errrrr, not-so-good "experiments".
But I'm willing to be his cheerleader and try them.
If you'd like to see what we're doing, where we're at:
Goals {Part One}
Goals {Part Two}
It's almost March.
Are you keeping up with the goals and/or resolutions you set this year?
Or are you like us - still setting them and slooooowwly getting it together.
