On a rare overcast and rainy Sunday, Mu and I went for a hike.
By rainy, I mean a couple drops per hour.
Kind of like when you're walking around outside and you feel a single drip on your arm...and wonder if a bird just peed on you.
We went to Lookout Mountain.
The same preserve Sam had his first hike. Weird, I talked about pee in that post too.
This time Mu and I hiked the hardest trails, around and over.
I took quite a few "look at this pretty thing in the foreground" shots with my phone.
The spiral petroglyph is a prehistoric Hohokam carving, said to symbolize the number of families that lived in this area.
I could get used to days like this.
An hour and a half later (600 calories burned!), we reluctantly headed home because it was getting too dark and our water was almost gone.
Gross alert- half way through the hike I poured water into Mu's bowl. Mu licked his chops and drops of his drool flew into the water bottle...INTO the water I still needed to drink.
Gah. It's like I french kissed my dog.
100 degrees in the shade is fantastic.
BIG difference between that and 100 degrees in the sun.
Ahhhhhh, I'm super antsy for Fall.
Who's ready for some more hiking?!
